  • First build the basic structure of the chicken coop by using the lumbars.
  • Lay a 4’x8’ floor inside the coop. 
  • Attach the 4×4 on the frame to level it up.
  • Tie the button using 4x4s together on each side, it will add stability to the structure. 
  • Use 4’x’8’x ¾” treated plywood for making the chicken coop floor.
  • Cover it up with the linoleum to make a leveled up surface inside the coop.
  • The frame is built using the 2x4s, you can change the dimensions as per your personal requirements.
  • The run box is 8’ only, again if you want more depth or height, change it accordingly.
  • The rafters are 12” to keep the rain water out of the chicken coop structure
  • Use plywood to make the roof with the shingles. Semi-transport roof is built so enough light can come inside the coop, the chicken will definitely need it for their well-being and great health. . 
  • Install the windows alongside the panels on all sides. You can use any pane, in this plan hung windows are used.
  • Install The trim boards to the structure along with fascia and soffits. 
  • Cut, trim, and attach the plywood door to fit into the chicken coop structure. 
  • Create the small enclosure around the chicken coop to protect it from the predator. 
  • Over the nesting boxes attach two 4’ hinged roofs so you can take out the eggs easily without having to face any struggle.
  • Use brackets and cut it to the size of the chicken coop to make perches.
